Virtus.pro is definitely one of the most prominent names in the world of esports. This extremely well-established Russia-based esports organization has its teams in Dota 2, Counter-Strike Global Offensive, Starcraft II, Heroes Of The Storm, Paladins, Quake Champions and World of Tanks. However, the organization is best known for their Counter-Strike Global Offensive.

The company has been going strong since 2003 while its Counter-Strike Global Offensive team has been present in the industry since 2006. Virtus.pro has made its very first Counter-Strike Global Offensive roster more than ten years ago consisted of Ukrainian and Russian players including its biggest starts Edward, Zeus, and Kane.

Later on, the organization continued to add other players to their CIS-based team for Counter-Strike 1-6 and later on into Counter-Strike Global Offensive. Soon later, their final iteration of their Counter-Strike Global Offensive roster became the very first team to defeat Ninjas in Pyjamas ending their amazing 87-0 winning streak. This roster divided into KerchNET and Astana Dragons which lead to the team disbanding back in July 2013.

Famous Virtus.Pro Golden Five Roster

Back in 2014, the team signed AGAiN who alongside pashaBiceps, byali, Snax, NEO and TaZ comprised the most successful, Golden Five Virtus.pro roster for 1.6. This roster is best known for their amazingly explosive gameplay as well as its great fanbase. This roster stayed within the team without any changes besides kuben joining the team as a coach until February 2018 when MICHU replaced TaZ.

This Golden Five roster was, in fact, the longest standing Counter Strike Global Offensive roster to date. Today, the team as any other team is prone to some ups and downs, but it definitely remains one of those most successful Counter Strike Global Offensive teams which has accumulated several prominent winnings over the years including their win on the EMS One Katowice in May 2014.

The Return of kuben, MICHU, and snatchie

After announcing that the team will cease operations with their active roster on 13th of December, the team announced the return of snatchie, kuben, and MICHU to its active Counter Strike Global Offensive roster. The team has also signed byali, Snax and TOAO and parted its ways with NEO. This means that the current Virtus-pro Counter Strike Global Offensive roster consists of Jakub Gurczyński as a coach, Paweł Bieliński, Janusz Pogorzelski, Mateusz Zawistowski, Michał Rudzki and Michał Müller.

Considering this new Virtus.pro roster, two of the team’s original members Snax and byali have been brought back in order to form a new roster for the following season. The active roster also includes the team’s star players snatchie and MICHU who are in fact the only two players from the original Virtus.pro iteration. Snax also returned to the team after a short time playing for mousesports.

The final piece of this new Virtus.pro roster is TOAO who will lead his team in-game. TOAO performed with AGO previous year before embarking on a rough patch which led him to be benched. This latest Virtus.pro lineup has an amazing potential and fans cannot wait to see them playing in the upcoming season.
