Trinity Series

On March 16-18, in Burbank California, four eSports teams will be playing for the Trinity Series crown in the Hearthstone competition. The process of determining which teams will be playing in the finals lasted seven weeks, and after 120 Hearthstone games, we finally have four teams that will participate in this event. However, the line up for the finals was not the one that many fans were expecting because a major upset happened and one of the favorites will not be in Burbank.

The Finalists

One of the tournament’s favorites for the title, G2 Esports, have officially been eliminated from the finals and the Trinity Series finals will see Team Liquid, Luminosity Gaming, Virtus.pro and compLexity facing each other in the finals for the crown at this event. G2 Esports had a truly disastrous start of the group stage of the ESL Trinity Series because they lived through three consecutive defeats and that proved to be too much to overcome, and G2 Esports will be participating in the final round of this competition.

If the Trinity Series officials decide to follow the standard seeding for the playoff, then we will be witnessing the matches between Team Liquid, number 1 seeded team, and compLexity, seeded number 4. The second game will be played by number 2 seeded Luminosity Gaming and number 3 seeded team, Virtus.pro. Besides the crown that the winner of this tournament will be given, the teams at this competition will also fight for the winner’s check of $75,000. As we have witnessed, the surprise and upsets have already happened, and because of that, we should expect some additional surprises to happen at this tournament as well.
