Odds For Winning Dota 2 Asia Championships Released

Esports betting experts are looking carefully at the odds for the Dota 2 Asia Championship. The event features twelve teams competing for a share of nearly $550,000. This could also be a big preview of what people can expect during the Kiev Major later this year as the event will hold a number of strong contenders with some different odds all around the event.

Three Key Favorites

Evil Geniuses are favored to win the event with a 225 line. The team plays in Group B. Oddsmakers are intrigued by the different playing styles of members on this team. While Sumail “Suma1l” Hassan is known for being reckless on occasion, Saahil “UNiVeRsE” Arora is known for being more relaxed and consistent in his play. Andreas “Cr1t” Nielsen is also noted for his strong drafting skills. The team is expected to be a strong performer throughout the event.

Team Liquid has a 250 line. This team is also a part of Group B. The team recently came from the StarLadder i-League StarSeries and won the Season 3 event. Maroun “GH” Merhej has especially become popular for his strong skills on the game and has proven to be a valuable addition to the team’s lineup. The entire team is also known for being effective when handling mid-game transitions.

OG is the top team in Group A. This team holds a 275 line. The duo of Tal “Fly” Aizik and Jesse “JerAx” Vainikka is a prominent group that will be worth watching. The team especially does well with getting rotations out in as little time as possible.

What About the Finals?

Those three teams are expected to be strong contenders to reach the finals. OG has a -105 line to get to the finals. This might suggest that Group A may not be as strong as Group B.

In terms of Group B, Evil Geniuses and Team Liquid both have 105 odds to reach the finals. This is a sign of how close competition in that division will be.

Outside the Favorites

Team VG.J holds a 1000 line as the best team outside of the three favorites to win the event. Bai “rOtK” Fan has been known for being a powerful player but he does throw on occasion as well. the team also holds a 450 line to upset OG and get into the finals out of Group A.

Wings Gaming and Invictus Gaming have 1000 lines each as well. These two are being heralded for their experience with Dota 2 although they don’t have as much momentum as some of the favorites in the game do. They also have 450 lines to get into the finals.

Team Empire has the worst odds to win at 6600. LED.Forever Young is also listed far off at 4000. Both teams are also at the bottom in terms of the odds to reach the finals. They are labeled at around 2500 each.

All odds for betting on the Dota 2 Asia Championships are subject to change. This is a potential for different odds to come about for individual competitors depending on what may occur within the game.
