The new HOTS patch is introducing a new hero under the name of Cassia and this new hero was described by the developers as a powerful amazon warrior. Even though it has not been confirmed officially how she will fit in the complete meta, one thing can be said with absolute certainty even without the official confirmation, and that is that this hero will be oriented towards causing massive damage with her auto attacks. However, the new HOTS patch did not only introduce the new hero, but it has also introduced big changes when it comes to E.T.C.
The main changes that were made to E.T.C. were introduced in an attempt to improve the big picture role of the Warriors in the game. E.T.C. And Muradin are seen by the developers as potential generalist Warriors in the game and the changes were made to make E.T.C. more in line with such a role. As such, these heroes should be able to perform well in any team composition and any type of a battleground and only outdone by specialist Warriors in those situations that require specific specializations.
These changes will give the hero the traits that will suit all circumstance and environments in the game. The developers have added general Armor to E.T.C. However, they reduced the Armor on the Show Stopper with the new update in order to increase the importance of every point. Besides that, the new update has also reduced the damage that Echo Pedal inflicts on Mercenaries and non-Minions so that he can also be chosen when a player needs wave clear. With these changes, E.T.C. is currently on the 48.8 percent win-rate, and many players will notice that is well beyond his average numbers.
The Introduction Of A New Hero: Cassia The Amazon Warrior
The new hero, Cassia, is an interesting addition to the already existing line-up of heroes in the Heroes of the Storm. Her main trait is Avoidance:when she is moving unmounted in the game, she will be able to gain 65 Physical Armor when going against Heroic Basic Attacks. Afterwards the damage that she suffers will be reduced by staggering 65 percent. Cassia’s basic abilities include Lighting Fury, Fend, and Blinding Light. Besides the basic abilities, Cassia also has the heroic abilities which are Ball Lightning and Valkyrie. The Ball Lightning features Cassia throwing a ball of lightning at the enemy which bounces up to six times before it reaches the enemy Hero whose hit gets almost completely destroyed. Besides, throwing balls of lighting, Cassia will also be able to summon a Valkyrie that will damage the first hit of the enemy Hero.
The addition of Cassia and introduction of new changes to the Heroes of the Storm should make the game even more interesting. Even though these updates and the new hero look good on paper, it remains to be seen how all of this will function in the real game of Heroes of the Storm.
