For many years, ProoFy was one of the biggest stars of Call of Duty eSports competitions. Besides that, many also believe that he is one of the best Call of Duty players ever. The fact is, his retirement from the official competitions has left the blank space in the CoD scene that no other player could have filled all this time.

However, things are changing and since WWII will be the new title of the Call of Duty competition, several players have already revealed that they would be coming out of the retirement. The latest player who did that was Jordan ‘ProoFy’ Cannon. He announced his return to Call of Duty eSports competitions on his Twitter account by twitting ‘F/A for WWII’. That was enough for the fans to be very excited.

Rumors Turn Out True

The last time when ProoFy competed at the official Call of Duty tournament was back in December of 2016. Since then, reports have indicated on several occasions that he might be returning to the competition. But those rumors never turned out to be true. However, once it was announced that WWII would be the new title for the Call of Duty competitions, those rumors started to appear more often.

At that point, many believed that it was just a matter of time when ProoFy would confirm his return. However, nothing happened then either and since time went by, fewer people paid attention to those rumors. Everybody was giving up on ProoFy coming back. However, when no one expected, ProoFy decided to surprise everyone by actually confirming all those rumors about his potential return.

Looking for a Team

ProoFy has been playing competitive Call of Duty since 2009. MLG National Championship was his first official CoD tournament. Since then, he had a huge success and over the years he played for some of the biggest Call of Duty teams in the world. Among those teams are FaZe Clan, Echo Fox, OpTic Gaming, Team EnVyUs, and several others.

However, his time in OpTic Gaming was the most successful period he had in the competition. When it comes to his biggest achievements in his career, winning the gold medal at the 2014 MLG X Games Invitation might actually be the biggest achievement ever. However, over the course of his career, ProoFy won many titles. It is really hard to pick the most important win or the title that he won.

Now, ProoFy is looking for a new team that he could join for the WWII competition. But the question is how much is ProoFy ready for the competitive scene after being away for more than a year. Despite that, he will be a great addition to any team he joins. His experience will be an invaluable contribution to the team’s effort of achieving good results in the competition.

There is still a lot of time before the start of the new season and ProoFy still has a lot of time to find the right team for the competition and he will certainly not be making a quick decision. Because of that, the upcoming weeks will be very interesting as we wait for the confirmation of where ProoFy will be playing as well as confirmation of other transfers as well.
