Fnatic and Cloud9 have shown their strength since these two teams have qualified for the World Championship following the conclusion of the EU LCS and NA regional qualifiers on Sunday. You’re already familiar with the both teams since they have been present in the gaming industry for quite some time. One of the major favorites is Fnatic team which was born back in 2004 and ever since their introduction, the team with very charismatic gamers have won more than thousand of tournaments. The team was founded by Anne and Sam Mathews in the beginning of the professional video gaming. The team simply was of great importance when it comes to the shaping the overall new world sport into an exciting fast-growing phenomenon.
Another team that qualified and showed us some amazing performance when it comes to the World Championship is Cloud9 which is also widely recognizable in the video gaming industry. The team was founded back in 2012, and since the very beginning the team members have shown us amazing performance in several major tournaments, so it was not surprising that they were able to qualify for the World Championship 2017 at the very beginning. Cloud9 since its introduction has grown to become one of the most popular and recognizable organizations in the esports industry. The team proud itself with major championships, an amazing number of unmatched viewership hours as well as extensive benefits packages for its players as well as staff.
Competing in the Play-in-Stage
It was a great pleasure watching the journey of the two teams. As the third seeds when it comes to their respective regions, Fnatic and Cloud9 further in the competition will have to compete against other qualified teams in the Play-in-Stage in order to secure one of four spots in further competition Group Stage. When it comes to the Fnatic, the team was able to get their spot into the finals directly since the team has the highest amount of points out of the other teams who haven’t been able to qualify for Worlds. Fnatic played against H2k Gaming and they were able to defeat them by 3-0, and once again they have shown us that they are the competition favorite for a reason.
Another team that was seeded directly into the finals in Cloud9 thanks to their championship points. In the finals, the team faced Counter Logic Gaming, and we were truly amazed by Cloud9 performance since they were able to beat the team which made it to the finals by defeating FlyQuest. Cloud9 defeated team CLG by 3-1, so the team will appear for the fourth time in the World Championship.
