DreamHack Reveales Its 2019 World Tour Schedule

DreamHack is definitely one of the biggest, most prominent digital festivals. This Sweden-based organizer has started with its work back in 1994 as a local area network, when Kenny Eklund and Martin Ojes organized the very first event of this kind held in Malung, Sweden. Since its beginning, DreamHack has grown to become one of the biggest event organizers and broadcasters in the world of eSports creating worldwide competitions in eSports and digital art every year.
Today, DreamHack consists of several different events, which are yearly held throughout Europe, including events taking place in London, England, Valencia, Spain, Cluj and Bucharest, Romania, Tours, France, and Jonkoping and Stockholm, Sweden. The organizer is recognized by the Twin Galaxies and Guinness Book of Records as the largest computer festival and LAN party. Moreover, DreamHack is also known as the organizer with the fastest internet connection while its traffic generated is considered the biggest in the industry.
The company’s organizers back in 2007 received a prominent diploma of honor from their hometown municipality for their amazing work done improving the local community business and education. When it comes to the DreamHack’s 2019 event calendar, fans are extremely excited to see that it includes the very first South American festival.
DreamHack Expanding to South America Following Year

As announced recently by the DreamHack organizers, the company is finally expanding its line of business to South America the following year. The very first DreamHack South America festival will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, featuring another exciting DreamHack professional Open Counter-Strike tournament.
The same DreamHack announcement that confirmed this also confirmed that there will be ten cities hosting different DreamHack events next year, including debut eSports festivals which will be held in Dallas and Rotterdam. Following this announcement, DreamHack CEO Tomas Lyckedal stated that around 300,000 fans all over the globe attended their gaming festivals and events in 2018.
When it comes to the biggest news of hosting their very first South American festival, it will be held over the course of three days taking place in the magnificent Parque Olimpico, while the former Rio de Janeiro Olympic Arenas will serve as the major hosts for the biggest Counter Strike Global Offensive tournament.
Celebrating DreamHack’s 24th Anniversary
This announcement marked the company’s 24th anniversary and its amazing growth. The company has grown from one small cafeteria LAN party to one of the biggest global eSports and gaming brands operating all over the world. In addition to expanding their line of business to Rio de Janeiro, the company also announced that they will hold debut events in Dallas, Texas and Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
In addition to these debut locations, DreamHack events will be held in Sevilla and Valencia in Spain, Leipzig in Germany, Tours in France, Atlanta in Georgia, and they will also hold two eSports festivals in their home country including the DreamHack Summer and DreamHack Winter festival, which will be held in their hometown in Sweden.
When it comes to the DreamHack debut Rio de Janeiro festival, the company’s spokesperson announced that the festival will be run by the same company managing their Spain-located festivals, ENCOM Games. What we know so far is that the very first Masters DreamHack event of 2019 will be held in Dallas, Texas, while other details regarding the event such as the exact date are yet to be released.
